She is best known for her role as Ruthy Spivey in the TV series My Own Worst Enemy, as Tancy Henrickson in the fourth season of Big Love and as CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel original series Shake It Up. She was also in the 2014 film Blended as Hilary "Larry", alongside Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. She is age 17 years old.

 Her real name is Chloe Celeste Hosterman.  Dove grew up in Bainbridge Island, Washington. She has an older sister.

When she was a child, she attended Sakai Intermediate School.

When she was eight years old, she began to act at Bainbridge Performing Arts.

At the age of eight, Dove began acting in the community theater. When Cameron was fourteen, her family moved to Los Angeles, California, where she sang in Burbank High School's National Championship Show Choir.

Cameron is part French, she is a native speaker of the language and has spent many years of her life growing up there.
